The February pick for Read Agatha 2021.

Definitely not my favorite Christie book. It took me a little while to get into the story itself, as I didn't realize it was more like a collection of short stories. As is typical for a collection of shorts, there are some stories in this book that I liked better than others, so it is difficult to really give an accurate review.

Overall, Parker Pyne himself was a bit difficult to like a first, but after a while I found myself enjoying his character. I wasn't sure what to make of him or his business. I felt like he meddled a lot, which I think he would agree with. However, I did think his personality was quite genial and fun. He was a kind fellow, but not afraid to tell it like it is when someone is trying to play him, which I appreciated.

While I don't know if I'd reread this one, I'm not completely disappointed that I did, as there were a few gems in this collection. I especially liked the ending, as that was very...intriguing!
