I connected with the characters and found myself invested in what would happen to them. I was probably holding my breath towards the end as I waited to see what would happen with Aled. I enjoyed how the book was written in the main character's voice.
The emotional abuse was hard to listen to. I wanted to wrap the characters in bubble wrap and keep them safe.
The podcast in the book - Radio Silence - gave me Welcome to Night Vale vibes (which was actually mentioned briefly in the book). I loved it.
I loved the overall message in the book and the growth of the characters at the end.

Graphic: Emotional abuse and Bullying
Moderate: Animal death
Content warning for animal death: The death of the family dog is not described in detail but it is mentioned along with the emotional fallout. The death was caused to hurt a character in the story.
