Reborn: Book One by Jonathan Glapion, Greg Capullo, Mark Millar

2.0

Hands down I enjoyed the illustrative loo of the comic which is something that I look forward comics because sometimes a panel will work better than any words can so that along with the colorist really did an amazing job in this volume.

But no matter how much I loved the art and use of color, there some things I liked about the overall writing but just never fell in love with. The concept, while not new, of what happens after death is always an interesting subject and I'm always intrigued by the different takes of different people but i can't point out what it was in this comic that just didn't work for me...

Was it the meh dialogue? Maybe
The simple approach of Good vs Evil? Maybe
Was it the cat that was pissed about being neutered so became evil after death? This was just like really? the neutered cat....I remember him because it's just so weird but I can't name him to save my life.

Actually aside from Bonnie I can't really remember the name of any other character and I finished reading this earlier today. Overall I'm sticking with it's ok.
