The Affair by Gill Paul

4.0

I won a copy of The Affair in a twitter giveaway - and was delighted because the summary was just up my street.

It's taken me a bit longer than it should have to read it - because after I started I got caught up in a couple of other books which I had to prioritise, but when I came back to it today (I was already 125 pages in), I really, really enjoyed it. I whipped through the end - I liked the intertwining story lines against the backdrop of the more famous one and I liked the descriptions of 1960s Rome. It's not a neatly tied up ending, but it's still satisfying. I'll keep an eye out for more from Gill Paul (although possibly not her Titanic book, because I find that particular subject just too, too depressing!)
