I love everything Karin Slaughter writes. This one fell short for me, in part, due to the absolute laughably incredulous plot line of a group of doctors running a “rape group”. Doctors who operated on pediatric patients, saving their lives, only to systematically rape them once they were adults. I mean…come on. Seriously??? Are there bad/evil doctors out there? Sure. But a collective of doctors (and their sons!!! What?!?) working together to rape, and in some cases murder, patients?? That belies credulity.
