Hunter, Hunted by Ashley Meira

3.0

Picked this up from Kindle Unlimited. KU can be such a crap shoot sometimes the books are great and sometimes not so good. This one was pretty decent. The story itself was pretty standard for a paranormal romance.

Morgan Maxwell is a witch and a hunter who gets injured on the job. She's recuperating at home when Alex, another hunter, shows up to arrest her. While they're debating her guilt and alibi they discover that her aunt, and the head of the Maxwell family has been murdered. An investigation ensues.

In this world both Heaven and Hell, angels and demons, have a stake in things. However, being either a demon or angel doesn't determine whether you're on the side of good or evil. I thought that was a nice changeup.

I see that many other readers had issues with Morgan's sexuality. I found it refreshing. She went after what she wanted and it didn't have to turn into a big, ugly, triangle. Love the dynamic.
