Natalie is pretty, popular, and the best salesperson at Vixed. Dawn is a little strange, doesn't follow fashion, and has an obsession with turtles. Unlikely colleagues, but Natalie tries to be welcoming until Dawn goes missing, and Natalie is being framed for murder. This is a quick read mystery where you don't know who to believe as more evidence is bought to life.
McFadden's characters all have a similar vibe having read two of her books now. The female lead always feels a bit peppy and popular, think The Plastics from Mean Girls and you have the lead character. The story was good and McFadden doesn't give hints to the ending so it does keep your interest. I think McFadden will become an author I turn too when I'm in a reading slump as her books are quick and easy to read.
