Wow. An interesting, albeit shockingly macabre, new take on an old social argument. The characters became real very quickly, the situations were both outlandish and believably typical of the age group, the world building was...

I really don't know how to describe the world. Chilling. Frightening. Hopeful? Surreal. Gritty.

I'm going to be thinking about this book for a long time to come. And with this being an election year (in the U.S.) every time I see the pro/anti choice argument come up I'm going to think of this book and shiver.

If I have any negative feedback at all it's that the youngest character seemed inordinately mature. Perhaps at first he was too naive but he grew rapidly, so rapidly that I didn't always buy in.

9 out of 10, but happy to round up for this refreshingly different YA story that'll probably haunt me for some time.
