Quite similar in tone to "The Horse Whisperer" in the sense that the author is not too optimistic but still gives hope. Interesting topic of eco-terrorism and problems faced by people in some states in the USA. What struck me was the resemblance between Abbie and her mother - despite the fact that they both seem strong and independent, they were too reliant on men what in the end turned against them.
