The Girls by Emma Cline
4.0
this was both so so interesting and extremely horrifying.
i found the way evie romanticises the group and is also quite detached from it, in a way, very well done. the way she speaks about it when she's older as though it was someone else's life, but one she knows as well as her own.
there's been SO much hype and exposure of this book over the summer. it lived up to it all -- dark, hazy, chilling, and, again, very interesting.
