Through the Ashes by Julia Wolf

3.0

Through the Ashes follows Bex and Asher, after a one night stand, Bex leaves without a word and Asher is more than angry. The angst and tension in this book was excellent however I really struggled with their relationship.

Asher was mean, he did some truly horrible acts in order to get revenge and overall found him controlling and manipulative, especially when it came to Bex’s brother. There were some occasions where I understood his behaviour but most of the time I found it toxic.

Bex was also a character that struggles - bullied, family drama whilst simulatanously trying to keep it together. She was by fire the strongest character, and honestly, she deserved more than Asher!

Despite this, I highly recommend some of Julia Wolf’s other work.
