The Frequency of Us by Keith Stuart
4.0
This is my first book by Kieth Stuart and it reminded me of Matt Haig. It is a book about relationships and mental health issues told in a dual timeline. The two main characters Laura and Will are well developed and are brought together as they need each other, the relationship is symbiotic. There are twists and turns throughout and at times one has to question what reality is. The book is descriptive and beautifully written drawing you in, making you feel that you are there. The descriptions of Laura’s anxiety and depression are a tough read, and the ambiguity around the cause kept me guessing The ending is a big disappointment with so many loose ends and the essence of Laura lost. I didn’t fully understand the reasoning throughout the book but certainly enjoyed the journey!
