The Night Shift
by Alex Finlay
After binge-reading Freida McFadden’s books, it’s refreshing to read a different style of writing. I love how it’s written almost like a TV show — it reminds me so much of the show “Mare of Easttown”.
As for the story, I like the characters (they were written in a way that had me really invested in them), however, I did find out who the killer was halfway. The red herrings were not enough and the few ones placed in the plot were not that effective.
But, I did enjoy the book and I look forward to reading more of his novels.
