i have been wrecked. wow. what. a. book. i thought this was going to be a dark academia murder mystery language learning studying classics and history and stuff BUT NO OMG THE SECOND HALF OF THE BOOK DIED DEAD MY MIND IS BLOWN. r. f. kuang is a genius. i don't care what people say. sure, at times it felt like she was flexing how smart she is and all that, but DUDE the book is incredible. i was not prepared for these feelings and emotions that washed over me after reading the last few lines. i am a changed person. i am literally crying my eyes out for robin and ramy. also if you want to strenghten the miserable feelings while reading the last ig two or three chapters, listen to "On the Nature of Daylight" by Max Richter. i shed a tear. and then a whole river. i need to read this again.
