The Way We Play by Tia Louise

4.0

This delightful small-town, grumpy-sunshine romance was brought to life by narrators Marcio Catalano and Kirsten Leigh. Zane, a brooding ex-football player, carries the weight of guilt, believing he only breaks things. Rachel, a thirty-year-old virgin with a heart of gold, takes care of her special-needs brother and finds herself irresistibly drawn to Zane. Their chemistry builds as Rachel helps him heal both physically and emotionally. Zane’s rough exterior gradually softens as Rachel’s warmth and determination break his defenses. Catalano and Leigh’s narration perfectly captures the characters' tension, passion, and emotional growth. If you enjoy a slow-burn romance with strong character development, this audiobook is a must-listen.
