Mr. Cavendish, I Presume takes place simultaneously alongside The Lost Duke of Wyndham. Whereas TLDoW follows Jack and Grace, MRIP follows Thomas and Amelia during the exact same timeframe. There are many scenes that overlap, giving you different perspectives. Because of this, much of the book felt repetitive. I read TLDoW first, so I wondered if I would have enjoyed MRIP if I had read it first. I do think it would be great to tandem read these so you don’t feel as if you are repeating the exact same story, or at least spacing the books out more.

Anyhow, I was not as invested in Thomas/Amelia as I was with Jackie/Grace.
