The Summer Children by Dot Hutchison

2.0

This book didn’t make an emotional impact like The Butterfly Garden or Roses Of May did.
We don’t get a pov of the victims like the first two books. The victim’s povs were the most interesting aspect, so I felt disappointed. Instead this book focuses mostly on Agent Mercedes and her past. We got so much of her personal life and the lives of the agents outside the Bureau, while the murders of the children’s families felt like a distant plot line.
I said this for the last two books but, I really hate the multiple povs without explicitly labeling the pov narrator.
