At this point we all know the Bridgerton Netflix series and although I wish I read these before I watched, I’ve really wanted to get into them. I decided to check out the audiobook versions and after book one, I am not disappointed. I enjoyed the detail provided and the “vibe” so to speak. Hearing the British accent made me feel more immersed in the story and attached to our main characters. I enjoyed Simon’s character. He felt very human and had me emotional to see him succeed. The “courting” didn’t seem to take very long but it felt playful and loving which had me more attached to Daphne as well. The time period is an interesting one to read about and although not all of it is a life I would’ve like to live, it feels glamorous to read about it!
Moderate: Sexual content
