Aurora's Angel
by Emily Noon
Okay so at first I had to reread the first few chapters/ passages at a time to “get my footing” and figure out what the heck was going on. Like. I would read a few pages or sections and then go back and reread to really understand/ create a picture in my mind bc it starts a little abrupt with terminology and strife specific to the ‘world’ in which you are in. A very large section of the story was the two MCs traveling and their dialogue/experiences. I personally liked this. It gave the opportunity to really understand the characters and for them to cultivate a believable relationship and emotional connection. Some of the set-up was typical trope-y stuff but I eat that all up. Overall a really really great story for readers looking for a wlw romantasy with magic/dragons/shapeshifters and how love and family have a great impact on who we are and what we may or may not become. This was the first true wlw work of fiction I read after getting back into reading and i was not disappointed!
