Death Warrant by Bryan Johnston

5.0

Death Warrant was honestly SO GOOD. I tore my way through it, constantly on the edge of my seat, laughing out loud, or being in awe of Bryan's writing. The way he describes people and situations is so unique and imaginative, I really felt like I was in the world with Frankie.

Speaking of Frankie, I ADORED her. I loved her view of the world, her humor, her love of movies, and her brilliance. I don't know how Bryan could write a mentalist so well, but it was incredibly impressive. The inner workings of Frankie's job and the Death Warrant show were scary realistic, and well researched. Bryan brought this world together seamlessly, there was NEVER a moment I was pulled from the story, and there wasn't a single character that I didn't like. They were all so well written, multi-dimensional, and unique to their experiences. Frankie's brother, in particular, was one of my favorites.

Anyways... Read this book. You won't regret it!

There are so many lines I want to quote here, but really, you should just go read the book. It's thought-provoking, captivating, entertaining, absorbing, fast-paced, and emotional. Plus, the ending took me by surprise! I really tried to guess it because I knew there was a twist, but I didn't! Well, I got one of the reveals, but the big one was so perfectly delivered! It was a satisfying end after a well-paced, fun novel.
