The Dixon Rule by Elle Kennedy
5.0

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m not going to lie—these kinds of books are my guilty pleasure. They’re easy to read, just exciting enough to hold my interest without being overwhelming, and they’ve rescued me from countless reading slumps. Normally, I wouldn’t rate books like this higher than 3 stars—maybe 4 stars if I really enjoyed it.

So imagine my surprise when I finished The Dixon Rule and thought, this is without a doubt a 5-star book.

I didn’t have high expectations going in, especially after The Graham Effect, and honestly, I only picked this up because I couldn’t muster the energy for another fantasy book. And THANK GOD for that.
I was completely invested in this story. Shane and Diana felt so real—their struggles, their connection, their communication—it all felt authentic. Sure, it had its cheesy moments (most books in this genre do), but it didn’t overshadow how much I genuinely loved reading this.
And then, the ultimate test: I cried. I have only ever cried while reading three books, and this one takes the crown. I SOBBED. The emotional depth caught me off guard in the best way.

I never would’ve believed that a college/sports romance would land on my very exclusive 5-star list, but here we are. This book deserves it. Bravo!
