Feel like I was gaslit by TikTok to read this book. All the quotes I saw on TikTok were convincing but as I was reading the book I was almost bored. They kept saying they were enemies but had like 2 interactions before they hooked up? On top of that we had all kinds of “stories” or memories that we got bits and pieces of…
For example her going undercover and her sister almost dying.. that’s all we got no depth whatsoever. Yet the Albanians played this big role in the book and her life? It just was weird to keep mentioning the same thing over and over but not elaborate.
Genuinely the quotes I saw on TikTok got me really excited to give this book a chance and I am sad that it wasn’t as good as I hoped.
