This is one of my favourite childhood books and it still holds up. I listened to it slowly through the Sleepy Bookshelf Podcast which gave me all of the nostalgic feelings of falling asleep to the radio play as a child. I still loved all the things I loved before but gained a new appreciation for how natural Anne's coming of age was and how she matured while maintaining her wonderful personality. All of the other characters were just as loveable: Marilla, Matthew, Diana, Miss Stacey, Gilbert I could go on. This truly is my comfort read and I don't think it is the last time I will read it.
Graphic: Death of parent and Death
Moderate: Body shaming
Minor: Adult/minor relationship
