This book!! Contemporary rom-coms are a bit outside of my wheelhouse, but I’m trying to broaden my horizons and oh my goodness, what a delightful read.
As someone with a chronic illness, the character of Chloe is so deeply relatable, from the way she describes dealing with her symptoms on a day-to-day basis, to the way those symptoms affect her demeanor, her relationships, and her insecurities about being a burden on said relationships. It was just so refreshing to read a character I could see myself in (I know what it’s like to have to warn people I might faint around them and what to do if it happens, lol).
The romance was so incredibly sweet, I often found myself smiling while reading without realizing, like a fool. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars from me was because I felt like it could have been shorter. At times it seemed a bit wordy, especially when describing what was going on inside a character’s head. But other than that? *chef’s kiss*
