When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir
by asha bandele, Patrisse Khan-Cullors
This definitely seems like one of those books everyone should read. I knew about BLM of course, but in the way white people in Canada tend to know about BLM, which is to say from a very surface level. Reading this book written by one of the founders of the movement was eye opening. It made me upset and angry and inspired in equal parts and anyone who does not feel that way reading this book is honestly probably a significant part of the problem.
