“Our story was never meant to be a fairytale. It was raw and hard, unconventional, and challenging, but beautiful at the same time. It is our story and that's all that matters.” ೃ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚

ೃ — The story follows Josephine who falls in love with a bad boy she accidentally met in a bar, Alec. What she did not know is, it is way more complicated than it seems.

First of all, this is really a solid romance book. Step-siblings with a bit of forced proximity and closed door tropes was intense. The plot of this book was good, and I didn't even expect that it would be one of my emotional reads. Jo and Alec's chemistry was on fire. Their conflicts, miscommunication, and small conversations were written so well. All of the other characters were also indeed likeable. One thing I also loved about the story: insta-lust—which made the story way more interesting. Plus, the sexual tension between the main leads was phenomenal! This book was really a quick, emotional read, and it had given me everything I liked in a book—drama, spice, angst, and ofcourse, a touch of enemies to lovers trope. It would be a lot better if it was written in dual point of view.
