A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout

5.0

I know this is definitely not the majority opinion here but I loved this book even more than the first one. There was so much happening that all pulled on my heartstrings because of my intense love for all of these characters.
The reason that I am so in love with this book was how Poppy grows into who she really is. She has been forced to be something she is not for her whole life but is finally set free in this book. I recently got out a long-term relationship where I was constantly pushed to be something I am not and never could do perfectly. Even though Poppy was forced to be this gentle and silent girl for her whole life, she is finally free to be whoever she wants to be. I deeply connected with this struggle to find yourself after being something totally different for so long.
I cannot say this enough but I LOVED this book. I have read book three and am anxiously awaiting book four!!
