The story itself is interesting, but I didn’t love the execution. There’s a big plot twist—maybe not immediately obvious, but still predictable as the story unfolds. By the end, I just wanted to be done with it. The book could have easily been 200 pages shorter, and the extra plotlines felt unnecessary, as if the author was trying too hard to make it as shocking as possible. Instead, it ended up feeling overstuffed.

Also I found Saffron (?!?!) insufferable and reading through her pov was so annoying 😭😭 and for someone who loves Dally Rooney’s books that’s saying a lot.
