This is another changeling/changeling match, and while it wasn't bad I struggled to root for the romance for a significant part of the book. I think it felt too similar to the push/pull of Riley and Mercy's book, and I didn't like how much of the plot revolved around that.

Drew Kincaid is the tracker for the SnowDancer pack which means he is tasked with hunting down rogue wolves before they can kill their loved ones. But, because of this, he exists outside the standard pack structure which hinders his ability to court the woman he's had his eye on for awhile, SnowDancer Lieutenant Indigo Riviere. Indigo has seen what an relationship looks like between a dominant female and a less dominant male, and she has no desire to live that kind of life. But, the more time she spends with Drew, the more she realizes that maybe things between the two of them could be different, and she has to decide if what they could have is worth the risk.

I really like both Drew and Indigo as characters individually. Drew comes across as kind of a big kid who just goofs around, but he's actually an incredibly important part of the pack and it depends on him forging relationships with lots of different groups. And, I did really like how committed he was to Indigo (even if at times I wasn't sure that devotion was warranted.) Indigo is strong female character which I really appreciated. I liked seeing how respected she was by other members of the pack, and I can understand where she is coming from about her fears about a relationship Drew. But, I also don't like when a character punishes another character for something that has nothing to do with them. And, while these two do get their HEA, I'm not convinced that they actually solved their dominance issues, especially with the tidbit that Drew's could change over time.

I think the other thing that hindered my enjoyment is that outside of the romance, the rest of the plot while interesting, it seemed to move at a glacial place, and I kept getting bored. Neither the romance or the plot were strong enough to carry the story. To be fair, the previous book had a really fast moving plot outside and a great romance, so I don't think that helped either.

Three Thoughts:
1. Indigo going on a date with Riaz was unbelievably shitty - and I kinda wanted Drew to tell her nevermind and find someone else.
2. Adria's situation was heartbreaking to be honest. And, it showed a side of changeling relationships we haven't seen before.
3. So many Hawke and Sienna moments - their book is next. *happy dance*

While this wasn't a new favorite in the series, I do really like where the book ends, and the macro plot keeps getting more interesting.
