The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco

4.0

A bit long winded for my taste. I came into this book for #ecoathon with an open mind having never read Eco before. This 13th century “detective” novel was interesting and did hold by attention, but for me, it had to be read in small doses over time. Beautiful imagery, funny moments, heavy on my religious background. A fascinating and well written book overall.
