Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
5.0

I saw this book at Barnes & Noble yesterday and bought it with my Christmas money as it looked interesting. I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was a Utopian/Dystopian type novel, which are totally becoming my favorite genre right now. This book was interesting and kept me turning pages to find out what happened next. I stayed up almost all night trying to finish and then awoke this morning pretty early to actually finish.

Rossi writes about a fascinating world that is split between the pod people (futuristic) and then the Outsiders (which seem more past-like as they have similarities to tribes), but both sets of people are searching for the same thing, a place where the Aether isn't raging above them. Rossi writes from two characters points of view (sort of, the book is written in 3rd person) of an Outsider and a "pod" person. The two character's lives merge and they start attempting to understand each other and the other's world. It's interesting to read about the world Rossi creates, the characters, their back stories and development and the adventure that blooms.

The book has excitement, fighting, originality and of course a love story. I'd definitely recommend reading this book.

Now I have to convince my parents to take me back to B&N so I can get the 2nd book...
