WOW just WOW… I wasn’t prepared for all these feelings. This book is a beautifully written angsty and emotional romance.
I haven’t picked a YA romance in so long and this one destroyed me and made me happy at the same time. This one is about loss and grief, learning to live with it and how to move on with life… Both Max and Ella had and still have to struggle through life because of the consequences of the actions of other people in their familes, but they found love and happiness in each other. The way they never lost who they truly are and love each other make you believe that everything is possible.
This also was the perfect representation of “right person, wrong time” and there’s nothing better than the feelings you get once an emotionally damaged couple get their happy ever after ending. The characters developments and their growth were simply outstanding. Theses characters are multilayered, flawed, strong, lovable and so relatable. And I’m giving the biggest bow down to the incredible portrayal of friendships, I genuinely loved Brynn and Kai, they’re just amazing human beings.
I learned so many lessons while reading this book, it definitely changed my perspective on some things. Jennifer Hartmann is an incredible writer, she made me feel every single emotion through the pages. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
