Assassination Vacation
by Sarah Vowell
funny
informative
lighthearted
fast-paced
Definitely a little dated - lots of early 2000s Bush complaining (Sarah, it gets worse!) - but still enjoyable. This was a reread for me, and I found some aspects more interesting than before, especially living now in the Land of Lincoln, and some aspects less relatable. She comes to the end feeling overall patriotic, in a way, and I think it's hard to get there now.
