3.5 - i enjoyed this for the most part! the main plot and conflict fell a little flat for me but the character development made up for it. this book explores grief, family dynamics & loneliness. i also loved the new york setting and all the romcom references. it took me awhile to feel the chemistry in the romance but towards the end i was definitely rooting for them. overall, I thought this was a charming read but not a favorite! i am excited to try out some of the author’s other books though.
