A good book, that I think had a slow start. It feels a bit kitschy, and also the ending is a bit over the top, although I enjoyed the final tidbit. It was fun, without being too much, but at the end of the day, I’m not sure I feel like it was anything particularly special.

The characters were a little bit caricature-y and felt like they weren‘t entirely fleshed out. Their initial conflicts were never actually resolved, but instead just sort of magicked away so they could live happily under the circumstances, but I don’t really feel like there was any character growth, instead the characters just bonded, which isn’t quite the same.
