A fun paranormal YA book about a girl who has been brought up to fight monsters, and ends up taking a job a high school. I very much enjoyed it, as the characters were believable and well-written (especially Dex...). It does reference Hawkins's other series (Hex Hall) which I haven't read, but is a fun read regardless. Recommended to anyone who likes YA paranormal books but wants something a little more interesting than never ending werewolf-vampire love triangles
