Dark Force Rising by Timothy Zahn
4.0

We were promised Coruscant politics at the end of the first book and get it here. On top of that, the Noghri take center stage, C'baoth grows more conceited, Thrawn continues plotting as always, Karrde and Mara return, pretty much everyone gets page space. Though these are called the Thrawn trilogy, his is only one role in the play. I like a wide cast with plentiful perspectives, so I have enjoyed these. I jumped right into the third after finishing this one, so many of my specific thoughts elude me now, but as a sequel to the previous book it does its job and builds toward the conclusion.
