The Only Child
by Mi-ae Seo
I listened to the audio version.
This is a strange book, in which you don't feel much connection with the characters nor that the characters have much relationship with one another. The main character is married to a man she seemingly has never had a real conversation with. Because the stakes are so low, in terms of the reader's involvement, it makes the book less nerve wracking.
