I'm giving up on this. It's like whitewashing history 101.

He says at the start "we should refer to them as native American" and then proceeds to call them Indian for the rest of the book. Also the Indian's "move" a lot. As though they just gave up land to white settlers in order to be nice!

Then there's the slavery section which is 3 pages long. It basically goes, while slavery was a problem there was a large number of free Black people. We'll that's alright then!

The author seems to really idolise General Lee as well.

You can totally see how racism gets entrenched into the education system when these have been your basic, undergraduate, history books.
