I have been so eager for this book since finishing Frostblood at the start of the year and honestly, it was worth the wait.
Fireblood continues along Ruby’s journey to destroy the minax, which has been wrecking havoc in Tempesia. Surprisingly, the answer to her prayers can be found in Sudesia, her mother’s homeland.
Fast-paced and action packed, this book kept you wanting more. I flew through this in 2 days, mainly because the characters are so engaging. I was weary of the arrival of Kai, as I am hugely opposed to love triangles but I was pleasantly surprised and ended up becoming attached to his flirtatious audacity. The interactions between these characters were powerful and well-written. I also loved the expansion of the world’s mythology, which we didn’t get in the first book.
I was taken back by the ending and again, I am disappointed that I have to wait for the sequel.
Well done Miss Blake, another great novel.
