Pocket Apocalypse by Seanan McGuire
4.0
3.5 stars but rounding up because of the Aeslin mice who have my heart!
I liked this book so much better than the previous installment. Maybe I was more used to Alex and Shelby and their personalities. Maybe I enjoyed the world of Australia and the Thirty-Sixers more than a reptilian cryptid community in Ohio. Maybe the Aeslin mice were given a tiny bit more of the spotlight. Maybe I am a werewolf junkie.
(Okay, we all know I AM a werewolf junkie.)
For whatever reason (...werewolves...oh and the mice!) this novel was just pure fun to read. So much fun that I've decided to reread the series and then move on to the newer books that have come out.
If you want an interesting urban fantasy series that walks a fine line between urban fantasy, fantasy, and the supernatural this one might be just up your alley.
