This wasn't as fun or entertaining as I had hoped. I received this book as a gift since I a huge fan of musicals; however, this was all just bleh. 5% memoir, 5% opinion, and 90% cliff notes/Wikipedia on FILM musicals- and very few at that. Not much about stage musicals was discussed- even when the film translations of the stage musical were brought up by the author. And did she love musicals? She mainly complained about much of it to me- hating so much. Just. Eh. There are so many better reads out there for theatre/musical fans.
