The banter between the characters and the world-building, as expressed in characterization and setting, were delightful. When actively reading this, I was fully engaged. However, now that it's been a few weeks, I'm a bit hard-pressed to recall exactly what happened and how the conclusion panned out. It felt half-baked. I enjoy Sebastian's writing a lot, but it seems like some of the translating of interior movements to exterior action-adventure didn't always land.
