A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

5.0

I loved the concept of following the life of an old and grumpy man who keeps order on a small street. Such a simple idea, because most of us know a person who's grumpy, most of us know someone who keeps order in things. Ove sounds like someone you may meet, but he's so much more.
This book shows that everyone has tragedy in their lives, and that we should never judge a person by first impressions. Ove's life and history is heartbreaking to say the least. His attempts to meet with his wife, at some points, made me reflect on my own relationships with people.
In all honesty this whole book will make you reflect on the people in your life and how you treat them.
This read was one of those that you won't want to end. I took several weeks to read this because I didn't want to let Ove go, I didn't want his story to be finished.
