I won this book as a giveaway, one of the first ones I entered. Jeffery Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series is one of the best series of books I have ever read by any author. His latest creation did not disappoint, with twists and turns in all of the right places. I was disappointed at the beginning of the book when Lincoln Rhyme was not in his usual role, but the disappointment did not last long. The relationship between Rhyme and Sachs is always interesting, and the forensic details always amaze me. While The Steel Kiss is an enjoyable read, I cannot say it is the best book in the series, as The Vanished Man is still my favorite.
