THIS IS A ARC REVIEW, and may have spoilers.

The story follows, Cybele (Dryad) and Basalt (Gargoyle), who are fated to marry each other to continue the pact to protect their people. I really loved the story. I liked that both were willing to put aside their own wants, for the good of their people.

Both characters felt fleshed out, the bits we got about their world made me want to know more. Like, I want to know about the first coupling. I was invested in how they felt, how they grew, and fell in love with each other.

I wasn’t sure how much we would get in the 94 pages, but what we were given, was amazing. And the ending.

I want more please.
