The Titan's Curse
by Rick Riordan
What a massive jump this book takes from book 2 in a wonderful way. Rick Riordan continues to gives us more of this incredible world while keeping true to the original tales from the Greek Mythology.
•••
We are introduced to more characters with complicated pasts that don’t take away from the protagonists or the main plot and yet still keeps us wanting more from them. Rick Riordan writes young female characters that are diversely strong and have their own flaws. They are all uniquely different and complicated.
Although Percy can be considered a typical teenage boys, he still has respect to everyone around him and doesn’t treat anyone differently. You’d think it’d be annoying being in his head reading these books but he’s really entertaining.
•••
The story continues on from book 2 with a more complicated plot and villains, and even going into more heavy topics (considering the target audience). It was a refreshing read and I had so much fun following along.
