I picked up The Last Wish after finishing the Netflix series. Overall my opinion on the book is the same as the series, it’s fine. I like the world building and the premise of Witchers and magic. That being said the misogyny and sexism leave a bitter aftertaste. It’s bad but I’ve read worse. I like the idea enough that I’ll probably give the rest of the series (books and Netflix) a go for now since I’m interested in Yenifer’s character.
