Ooof, this was hard for me. I don’t want to give it a low star review, but this wasn’t for me. It took me a long time to get used to the language of the book. It definitely reads like it was written in the 1930’s. There are a lot of characters and it is hard to keep track of them. I had to google a character list to try and make sense of it. Once the murder occurred, it did pick up a little bit. Overall, I found myself skimming the last half of the book just trying to get through it. I definitely missed a lot of details.
