Lucky: A Memoir
by Alice Sebold
I felt like this book was incredibly honest and forthright, but at the same time, it was almost as if it was told from the third-person point of view. Obviously we can infer how it is to go through the same situation the author went through, however, I was surprised to not encounter more emotion in the book. It's as if everything was fairly clinical. That said, I couldn't put it down at times. It's riveting.
